CNDLive Manager User Manual

CNDLive Manager is a powerful central management platform designed to provide efficient device management and streaming services.

Key Features:

  • Server Stream Push: Connects with CNDLive encoding devices to generate unlimited stream outputs (SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, UDP, RTSP).
  • Streaming Matrix: A visual interface to route streams from the server to any destination (Decoders, YouTube, vMix, etc.). The server handles protocol conversion automatically.
  • Centralized Management: Perform remote configuration, batch firmware upgrades, and preview live video from all connected products.
  • Link Aggregation (Bonding): For devices with multiple network connections (LAN, Wi-Fi, 4G), the system uses proprietary algorithms to balance data loads, optimizing transmission stability and efficiency.

⚠️ Warning: Firewall & Port Requirements

To ensure the platform functions correctly, you must configure your server’s firewall or security group to allow the following traffic:

  • TCP 8080: Web Service (Dashboard Access)
  • UDP 50000: Device Connection (Registration & Heartbeat)
  • UDP 40000-40050: Voice Intercom (Audio Data)
  • Custom Ports: You must manually open any specific ports you configure for Stream Matrix input/output tasks.

Note: Default ports can be modified in the System Settings if needed.


The Web Management interface is your central hub for interacting with devices and configuring the system.

Ensure the Manager platform is correctly deployed.

  1. Open Browser: Google Chrome is recommended for the best experience.
  2. Enter URL: Type http://Server_IP:8080.
    • Example: http://192.168.1.100:8080
  3. Authenticate:
    • Default Username: admin
    • Default Password: admin
  4. Login: Click the button to enter the dashboard.

The main interface is divided into the following sections:

  • Device Management: Add, delete, and configure hardware devices.
  • Streaming Matrix: Create and manage stream routing tasks.
  • Intercom: Voice communication with devices.
  • System Status: View server runtime and software version.
  • Settings: Firmware management, port configuration, and user profile settings.

Organize your equipment by creating logical folders (e.g., by project or location).

  • Create: Click the + button next to “Device Management”, name the folder, and confirm.
  • Manage: Hover over a folder and click the three dots (⋮) to create sub-folders, set access permissions, rename, or delete the folder.

    Note: Deleting a folder removes all devices contained within it from the Manager.

  1. Select a device folder.
  2. Click Add Device.
  3. Enter the Serial Number (SN).
    • Tip: You can find the SN in the device’s local web settings under System.
  4. Crucial Step: On the physical device’s local web page, go to Settings > CNDLive Manager and enter your Server IP and Port (Default: 50000).
  • Delete: Hover over a device card and click the (x) icon. For batch operations, select multiple devices and click the Delete button in the top menu.
  • Move: Hover over a device card, click the Move icon, and select the target folder.
  • Reboot: Select multiple devices and click Reboot.
  • Search: Use the search bar to find devices by model or keywords.

Hover over a device card and click the Settings (Gear) icon to access details.

  • Preview: View real-time input video.
  • Stream Services: Manage RTSP, SRT, RTMP, UDP outputs.
  • Encoding: Configure Resolution, Frame Rate, Bitrate, and GOP for Main/Sub streams.
  • Network: View LAN and Wi-Fi status.
  • Output: Toggle HDMI/SDI outputs, set resolution (up to 4K/1080p), and manage audio sample rates.
  • Source List: Add decoding sources (SRT, RTSP, NDI URLs).
  • Preview: View snapshots of the decoded content.
  • Dashboard: Monitor battery level, CPU temp, and fan status.
  • Bonding: In the “Management Platform” tab, select which network links (LAN, Wi-Fi, SIM1/2/3) to aggregate.
  • Fan Control: Adjust cooling fan speed (Auto/Low/Mid/High).
  • Mode Toggle: Switch between Encoder Mode, Decoder Mode, or Codec Mode (Simultaneous).
  • NDI Settings: Configure Group, Name, and Transport Mode (TCP/UDP/Multicast).
  • Real-time Preview: View the video currently being decoded and output by the software.
  • Preset Shortcuts: Save frequently used NDI streams to buttons (0-9) for quick switching.
  • Output Settings: Configure HDMI output specifications including Resolution (up to 4K), Color Space, RGB Range, Audio Sampling, and Volume.
  1. Upload: Go to global Settings > Firmware Management. Upload the .bin file for your device model.
  2. Upgrade:
    • Single: Right-click a device card > Upgrade.
    • Batch: Select multiple devices of the same model > Click Upgrade in the top menu.

    Warning: Devices will automatically reboot after the upgrade. Do not power them off during this process.


The Streaming Matrix allows you to route video inputs to destinations with protocol conversion.

  1. Create a Project Folder in the sidebar.
  2. Click + to create a Server Node.
  3. Server Delay: Set the buffer (Default: 1000ms). Higher values increase stability on poor networks; lower values reduce latency.
  • Add Input (Source): Click the left side of the node. Select a Device (e.g., C6) or a Network Protocol (external URL).
    • Limit: One source per node.
  • Add Output (Destination): Click the right side of the node. Select the protocol (SRT, RTMP, etc.) and define the port/address.
    • Limit: Up to 16 outputs per node.

💡 Tip: Custom Ports

If you assign a specific port for a matrix output (e.g., SRT on port 9000), remember to manually open that port in your server’s firewall.


Real-time bidirectional audio communication between the web console and hardware devices.

  • Web: Grant your browser permission to access the microphone.
  • Device: Connect a USB headset to the hardware (C6/X1/D1/A1/NDI Go).
  1. Click the Intercom in the left menu.
  2. Click + to add online devices or other web users to the group.
  3. Toggle the switch to Start.

⚠️Personal Mix: Volume and Mute controls in this interface are local. Muting a user only prevents you from hearing them; others in the group can still hear them.

Important: If you change these ports, you must update your server firewall rules immediately.

Upgrade the CNDLive Manager software itself by uploading the system update file.


Q: I cannot access the web interface (Port 8080).

A: Please check the following:

  1. Server Status: Is the server running?
  2. Firewall: Is TCP Port 8080 open in your server’s firewall or cloud security group?
  3. Custom Port: Did you change the HTTP port in settings? If so, use the new port in the URL.
Q: My device is powered on but shows “Offline” in the Manager.

A:

  1. Firewall: Ensure UDP Port 50000 is open on the server. This is required for device heartbeat.
  2. Device Config: Log into the device’s local web page and verify the Manager Server IP and Port (50000) are correct.
  3. Network: Check if the device has a valid Gateway and DNS setting to access the internet.
Q: The Intercom audio is not working.

A:

  1. Ports: Ensure the UDP port range 40000-40050 is open on the server firewall.
  2. Browser: Check if the browser tab is muted or if microphone permissions were denied.
  3. Hardware: Ensure the USB headset is properly connected to the device.
Q: How do I use custom ports for the Stream Matrix?

A: When configuring a Stream Matrix output, you can define any port you wish. However, the system does not automatically open these ports on the server OS. You must manually open any custom ports you use in your firewall settings.

Q: Can I perform a batch upgrade on different device models at the same time?

A: No. Batch upgrades must be performed on devices of the same model (e.g., only C6s). You must select the correct firmware file that matches the selected devices.
